Disability
A Response to
"We're Brave Only
When We Have Choices"

ear RALPH:

A beautiful piece by Carlos Amantea on hope. It is not just "most" but all, who must be brave sooner or later.

The truth about the disabled person is that he is Everyman. All this talk about the disabled as an oppressed minority, about the unique disability culture is balderdash.

Society treats us the way we treat our own infirmity -- pretend it doesn't exist, ignore it, baby it, obsess about it, whatever. Whatever, it doesn't go away, nor do we the disabled. We are the human condition.
