      this morning
            (or one of many mornings)
stretched out
      beside me
            to tell the truth, he, Amedeo
did not live long enough at all
      to meet & paint you
            but Hollo (first name Anselm)
has lived long enough
      to see you there
            unfortunately
he is not a great painter
      but he is
            your 100-year-old poet
