OH. GOSH. Thankyou ! The ending was very baffling; unbelievable the Halvor lived --- so confused I thought ending must be a fantasy, Halvor was result of Kierkegaard "Leap of Faith" so Halvor speaking from heaven. I must assume the translation failed somehow (The tone and plot shifted so abruptly it seemed to be a mistaken ending to another author & book). https://www.krabarchive.com/ralphmag/DV/dont-look-back.html
