The Rooster in
The Wristwatch
&
Apt. 301
RALPH:

The Dr. Phage piece RALPH's reader referred to, "The Rooster in the Wristwatch" appeared in the Late Fall 2000 issue.

Beside the wristwatch, it also recounted the episode of the Italian Count with the artificial arm who was prepared to rejoin his cavalry regiment upon the outbreak of atomic war. Remember him?

Dr. Phage can report to your reader that the watch in question is still hanging from a nail in the wall on my lower floor, but the rooster, like a number of our other contemporaries, stopped crowing quite some time ago.

HI, GUSTAVO!

Alas, ours is but a testy book review magazine with minimal services.

Publishers send us their books, we review them, and then give them away to jails and service clubs for the poor.

Apt. 301 we read, liked, reviewed ---- and then sent off to prison. Where it is still, no doubt, incarcerated, there in the local county greybar hotel.

However, if you want to buy it the book, you would do well to make contact with the publisher,

Yewtree Press
Box 110671
Brooklyn NY 11211

They are a righteous publisher, and deserve your support.

--- Thanks,
Lolita Lark
