Dear Lolita:

Thank you for that review. I thought I was very much on target. The funny thing is, I'm currently teaching freshman composition now in a branch of City University and enjoy it --- and my students --- very much. No discipline problems! Thank God --- and we actually read real literature (Ralph Ellison) But high school? There are some who can do it---and I tip my hat to them!

P.S. Call of the Wild is not a bad book --- but in 21st century New York, to those kids --- oh no!

So don't be embarrassed about enjoying it --- I did too.
