A Correction to
Our Review of
The Letters of
S. J. Perelman

Dear RALPH:

I enjoyed reading a review of S.J. Perelman's comic fiction while surfing the Internet from Indonesia.

However, I would like to draw your attention to a factual error in this review: Perelman's brother-in-law Nathanael West (aka Nathan Weinstein) actually died on Dec. 22, 1940, not in 1938. He crashed his car after ignoring a stop sign, having heard of his friend F. Scott Fitzgerald's death.
